How much do you want to earn in your business?
- Heaps?
- A lot?
- A humungous amount?
These are vague answers, which will get you vague results.
If you want to achieve a financial goal for your business, you need to do some realistic number crunching. To do this, ask yourself three simple questions.
1. What do I want?
Set yourself a specific target - do you want $50,000 or $100,000, or $1000,000. Once you have a specific number in mind, write it down.
2. Where am I now?
Determine where you are now financially. Write down exactly what your income is now.
3. How do I get there?
Compare your target with your current income and see if it is a realistic target. If it is not then go back and set a realistic target. Once you have your realistic target then you can determine how you will achieve it.
Simple? Well yes, most successful methods are simple - but they unravel because of too much analysis, or dreaming or laziness.
Obviously these three questions will raise more questions, especially 'how do I get there?' But this is ok because your answers to those extra questions will become your financial plan.
But to kick start your financial dream and make it a reality ask yourself these questions:
- What do I want?
- Where am I now?
- How do I get there?
And one more thing, don't forget to answer all the questions raised and take action.
When you do, your 'lucky number' will probably come up.
